Description: | Take a "sneak peak" tour of the Nassau Observing Station! Learn about the 20th-century history of this research observatory, and get a glimpse of the restoration efforts to re-open Nassau observatory to the public. Due to space limitations, participation is limited to 30 people per session, so reserve your spot soon! |
Accessibility: | Partially Wheelchair / Stroller Accessible The Nassau Observing Station is still under restoration, and is not yet fully accessible. The ground floor (including the former laboratory and living space) is partially wheelchair/stroller accessible. However, the observing floor/telescope can currently only be accessed via a steep staircase. (Restoration plans include the addition of an elevator to make the observatory fully accessible, but accessibility measures have not yet been installed.) |
