Description: Dress for the weather and help bring some light into the longest night of the year on this popular evening walk. Explore roots of our modern holiday celebrations derived from ancient traditions associated with the winter solstice and enjoy hot beverages and traditional holiday music by the accomplished Pilgrim Brass Choir and its sing-along opportunities inside the Nature Center. Primarily outdoors, so dress warm! Program begins with an introduction indoors with hot cider and music by the Pilgrim Brass Choir (with sing-along opportunities). Depending on the size of the group attending, participants will be split into smaller groups and taken out onto the trail by volunteers. There will be several stops laid out along a walkway, each highlighting a different civilization in time and how the winter solstice was culturally observed. Many of the stops are interactive.
Accessibility: Partially Wheelchair / Stroller Accessible
Nature Center is accessible, trail is not.
