All camping fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This site does not have a tent pad. Campers can pitch their tent directly on the ground. This is NOT a group site. This site accommodates no more than 5 people. Campers are NOT able to park/drive to this site. Site M is a pack in/pack out site. Parking is in the regular lot at the entrance of the park. A fire ring with grate and picnic table are provided. Campers must bring their own supplies.
Campers must bring their own firewood and supplies.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Vault-style restrooms are available – please refer to the trail map for the 2 locations. There is no running water in the restrooms. Potable water is available next to the red shack near the Overlook Shelter. Trash receptacles are not provided in the campsite areas to avoid attracting animals. Campers must pack-out their trash. Campground Quiet Hours: 11pm - 6am Camping is allowed by reservation only for a maximum of five (5) nights. Persons under 18 years of age will not be issued a permit. DURING THE WINTER SEASON, CAMP ACCESS DRIVES WILL NOT BE PLOWED, AND THE RESTROOM LOCATED AT THE FAR EAST END OF THE CAMPGROUND LOOP IS CLOSED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. IF YOU ELECT TO DO WINTER CAMPING, PLEASE BE AWARE YOU MAY NEED TO PACK IN YOUR GEAR FROM THE PARKING LOT. Camping at Chickagami Park will afford you a personal connection to the park's beautiful natural resources. In addition to individual sites, there are group sites, each with a lean-to and tent pads, specifically designed for large group camping, and great for a gathering of family, friends, and scout troops. |
