| Description: | Explore the northern undeveloped portion of Thompson Ledges on primitive trails through oak and hemlock forests hoping for snow-covered hemlocks decorating the ledges. Hikers must be capable of traveling several miles through rocky, uneven terrain with some steep slopes and logs to step over. Dress for the weather with sturdy footwear. Walking sticks and traction enhancers like Yaktrax recommended. Registration required. |
