Description: An unprecedented opportunity to visit this spectacular geologic and historical site. Once a popular tourist destination with its stunning rock formations, it has been closed to the public since 1925 and still remains on private property. This is a challenging off-trail adventure for those able to hike on rugged, rocky terrain and slippery surfaces. Tours are two hours long. Register for your preferred time slot. YOU MUST BRING THE SIGNED WAIVER TO THE PROGRAM IN ORDER TO BOARD THE VAN TO THE CAVES: www.geaugaparkdistrict.org/waiver-2019-chesterlandcavestour. We will transport participants to the site from their parking site at Chesterland Historical Village, where buildings will also be open for visitation 10 AM to 5 PM. No groups. No pets. Ages 16+. Non-refundable fee due by August 5: $10 per person payable (mail check) to Chesterland Historical Foundation, P.O. Box 513, Chesterland, OH 44026. Registration begins July 1.

This is an adventure for the sure-footed. Chesterland Caves is a rugged, rocky site without trails, possible slippery surfaces. No restrooms at Caves. Restrooms available at Chesterland Historical Village before and after tour.
