Description: Venture into the rocky woodland ravine of this Park District preserve to discover deep rock ledges, cool streams, wildflowers, salamanders and other stream life. Rugged and strenuous off-trail hike, including slippery stream bottoms, steep grades and obstacles like downed trees and stream crossings. Held rain or shine, so dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes with good traction. Not wheelchair/stroller accessible. Welton's Gorge is a Park at 13973 Hale Road, Burton Township, between Butternut and Burton-Windsor Roads. We will observe social distancing and the use of face masks. Registration required.
