| Description: | Take a strenuous off-trail hike into this rocky woodland ravine to discover deep rock ledges, cool streams, salamanders and other unique features. Participants must be able to hike without assistance off-trail, which may include slippery stream bottoms, steep grades and obstacles like downed trees, poison ivy and stream crossings. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes with good traction that can also get wet walking in rocky streams. Held even in the event of rain. Not wheelchair/stroller accessible. Welton's Gorge is located at 13973 Hale Road, Burton Township between Butternut and Burton-Windsor Roads. Registration required for all participants. |
