| Description: | PROGRAM CANCELLED due to thunderstorms! Experienced kayakers take a rugged but rewarding kayak trip to a remote, seldom seen wild marsh accessed from the Upper Cuyahoga River. Ages 16 & up. Be prepared for the possibility of wading and muddy portages as shallow water and beaver-felled trees provide the adventure. Experience kayakers only! No kayak instruction will be given as part of the program. Participants must be able to get in and out of a kayak without assistance. Trip length 3 hours. Bring water. We will provide all the necessary equipment. NO PRIVATE BOATS! Please, no unregistered people. *Not recommended for inexperienced kayakers! Registration required beginning May 18 at 10 AM *We will meet at Burton Square parking area in front of the Burton Public Library and shuttle in a park van to the boat launch located 5 minutes east of Burton. Please arrive by 9:15 am. Shuttle will leave promptly by 9:30 am. |
