Description: Explore the world of "Pax" by Sara Pennypacker! We'll try all the tricks of sight, sound and smell a fox like Pax would use to find his way home, practice drawing a fox, then hike in search of signs of foxes. Part of this program will be held indoors, and part will involve an outdoor hike (less than one mile) regardless of the weather (so please dress for the day's weather).
Accessibility: Partially Wheelchair / Stroller Accessible
The indoor portion of this program (which involves drawing foxes and studying fox-related artifacts) is fully wheelchair-accessible. The outdoor nature walk to a former fox den is along the Ansel's Cave Trail, and involves climbing stairs and uneven terrain. However, The West Woods offers wheelchair-accessible views of nature from the paved Discovery Trail; we'd be happy to tailor our program to accommodate participants of any level of ability! Please email Chris Mentrek at cmentrek@geaugaparkdistrict.org for details.
